Caroline Albers is a big picture thinker interested in the composition of silhouettes, colors, patterns, and textures. She has always really loved clothing. The fourth of five daughters, Caroline grew up in a vibrant and active house. The different voices, body types, and styles of her family have continually influenced Caroline to think critically about how clothing should be designed. It is her sisters, mother, and closest girlfriends who are constantly on her mind when she is designing and creating clothing. Striving to make pieces that are approachable, artistic, and modern, Caroline loves studying how powerful the messages we send with our clothing can be. She has dreams of helping everyone find their perfect style language.
She is in her fourth year of the University of Minnesota's Apparel Design Program. Her time has been spent as a researcher helping to design and pattern culturally appropriate activewear for young East African girls and their mothers. Other projects have focused on trend analysis and clothing design for underserved markets such as new mothers and plus-size junior girls. She also serves as part of the leadership team for the Sustainability in Fashion student group.
